Suzanne Brooking Bond: Community Social Development

Community Social Development nominates Suzanne Brooking Bond. Suzanne and Liz McCallum have been volunteering their time to instruct the Roots of Empathy program for 5 plus years in Grande Prairie.  Each year they teach 2 or more classes to make sure that our children don’t miss out on the opportunity of having the program in their classes. CSD would like to thank them for their dedication and their vital role in bringing Empathy to Alberta’s Classrooms. Without them, the program would not be as successful in Grande Prairie.

Estelle N'Guessan

Estelle N'Guessan: Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers

Estelle is a busy mom of 3 children, but very interested in sharing her every free minute with the community.  Even with her busy everyday life, Estelle proved herself as a punctual and committed volunteer. When one of the confirmed participants couldn’t make it Estelle in a very short notice stepped in and created a beautiful booth for Ivory Coast with her kids during Heritage (Kermes) day at the GP Museum. She helped GPCN to facilitate Multicultural Crafts during Alberta Culture Days. She even marched in the Canada Day Parade with us! There are not enough words to say how grateful we are to have Estelle as our volunteer. Thank you so much for all that you do!
