Saskatoon Lake Ag. Society would like to nominate Scott Blake as Volunteer of the Week.  Scott sits on our Board of Directors and is always willing to jump in and help out as needed.  He is always setting up for events and staying after to help with the clean-up and everything in between.  Scott we thank you for all your wonderful time you donate to our organization.

Helena Spence: Salvation Army

Salvation Army nominates Helena Spence. Helena is an outstanding volunteer who for the past 5 months has been coming in to the Salvation Army soup kitchen to volunteer her time.  She works tirelessly 5 days a week assisting the cook with kitchen chores as well as helping out where ever needed.  Her cheerful attitude is contagious and we would be so pleased to see her recognized for her contributions to our community.

Robin Nolius: Spinal Cord Injury Alberta

Spinal Cord Injury Alberta nominates Robin Nolius. During the past 12 months Robin has gave over 40 hours as a Peer Volunteer helping someone with skill development at the office of at Spinal Cord Injury Alberta, in support of our Tuesday Bowling Program and during our winter Drop-In hours. Robin is a strong advocate towards improving the accessibility of the City of Grande Prairie.  Thank you for all your support, Robin!

Lydia MeGraw: Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities

Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities would like to recognize Lydia MeGraw as volunteer of the week. An active board member and volunteer for Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it's assisting in safety programming in Safety City, providing her expertise for injury prevention initiatives,  or giving her time with our fundraising events.  Lydia has a passion for helping her community stay safe, and we are very lucky to have her apart of our organization.

Simona Marchese: Swan City Rotary Club

Swan City Rotary Club nominates Simona Marchese.  She has been an exceptional volunteer for our organization this year.  Not only is she an exemplary student, scoring high on the honour roll at Charles Spencer High School, she has been one of the most active volunteers for the Swan City Rotary Club.  Simona is an exchange student from Italy who spent 10 months in Grande Prairie.  During that time she has raised thousands of dollars for local and international needs.  She has also volunteered her time to serve food at the Friendship Centre, sell tickets, setup for community events, assist in Rotary projects, collect food for the Salvation Army, and work with the Lion's Learning Centre.  Her personal fundraising efforts will provide food for meals at the Friendship Centre and supplies at Sunrise House (Youth Emergency Shelter).
