Carrie joined our Therapy Dog Program back in June and has since taken the reins and made a huge impact.  Carrie regularly visits over at GPRC for Wellness Wednesdays.  This is usually a nice way for the students to de-stress prior to big exams coming up! Jody Peakman: Grande Prairie Broncos

The Board of the Grande Prairie Broncos nominates Jody Peakman, who came into the Grande Prairie Broncos football organization new and full of new ideas this season.  With a fresh set of eyes, she added new perspective and creativity to our team.  Jody jumped right in and joined the board as the Parent Liaison and has been extremely effective with team communication and positivity.  Parents, players and coaches always know how to prepare and what to expect because she is always on top of sending the needed emails and social media updates. With her first aid background, Jody has been a huge asset for the team.  Bringing her kit and knowledge to the field for practices and games has been an added bonus. Jody has made the whole board feel loved and appreciated and we wanted to make sure she knows that we all appreciate and love her in return.  Jody Peakman, you are a Rock Star!

Dorothy Markovich: Alberta Health Services Volunteer Resources

Alberta Health Services Volunteer Resources nominates Dorothy Markovich, who has been volunteering with the Spirit River Auxiliary for 20 years. Dorothy and her group work tirelessly making goodies to be sold for our gift cupboard, they help with our local Senior Wellness Clinics, they help with Flu and Breast Screening clinics when called upon, they help sell raffle tickets for their annual raffle, they help make the prizes to sell for the raffle tickets, they take turns with other auxiliary volunteers to make up goodie trays for the residents and patients in hospital over holidays and special occasions, they do one to one visits at the hospital and in community when needed, and if there is a need for a special piece of equipment here at the hospital they pitch in with the other auxiliary volunteers and do not quit until the money is raised for what is needed. This is only a small part of what Dorothy & her partners do, the list goes on and on.
