T.I.E.S is an Employment Partnership project between the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie, local businesses and GPVSB.

What is T.I.E.S?

Our project focuses on the personal skills and talent that contribute to the transition from unemployment and depending on family, community or government financial sources to self-sufficiency. This leads to self-empowerment for the individual and eventually the whole Community.

A key component of retaining employment is having the necessary soft skills and communication skill prior to accepting the opportunity.  Specific training of the technical skills need for a task/career can occur on the job, but without the necessary starting skills keeping the opportunity may become difficult.

The program is a pro-active and positive way to help you find and retain meaningful employment.

This is a well-coordinated, support system designed to transition you from unemployment to self-sufficiency:
♦  Addressing barriers that impact on the retention of employment
♦  Referrals to services and programs in the community and follow-up support
♦  Access to job training and skill development programs in the community as appropriate
♦  Mediation, negotiation and support for both employer and employee to maintain employment

We offer continued support in the workplace for Indigenous Peoples residing in Grande Prairie who face barriers in finding and keeping employment.

If you are of Indigenous ancestry and looking for work, call us at 780-538-2727 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
